Literary Hypertext: ned after snowslides
In 2001, writer and artist Don Austin created what is arguably the first successful literary hypertext produced in Newfoundland, ned after snowslides. Austin's work of prose poetry follows the disaffected ned through a particularly harsh St. John's winter. Mixing text and photography, the work draws a compelling picture of its protagonist while managing to capture both the random and infinite feel of mid-winter days in the city.
