  • Apply to OCT online
  • Original Criminal Records Check
  • OfficialTranscripts*(must say degree conferred on it)  
  • Canadian Birth Certificate/Citizenship/PR Documents
  • Copy of current Teaching Certificate
  • Statement of Professional Standing*
  • Copy of proof of change of name (if necessary)
  • Proof of proficiency in English or French

Fees     

  • Application fee: $170(teachers educated in Ontario)
  • Application fee: $392 (teachers educated outside Ontario, includes $140 application fee plus $222 evaluation fee)
  • Evaluation fee: $222
  • Annual fee: $150

  • Certification process may take six weeks or more

*Forms must be sent directly from the issuing organization to the certification office
