The ARTery
Do you take photos, paint, bead, sculpt, draw, carve, weave, knit, or otherwise build works of beauty?
The ARTery of the Health Sciences Library (HSL) welcomes submissions of original artwork from Health Sciences Centre-affiliated faculty, staff, and students, and Eastern Health staff. Our intent is to provide a venue for displaying artists’ work, and to create an aesthetically pleasing environment in which our patrons can both research and relax. We have taken inspiration from the successful and long-standing First Space Gallery housed in the Queen Elizabeth II Library at Memorial University.
Our gallery wall space is limited; we can display approximately twenty-five wall-mounted pieces, and a few additional pieces in a display case.
The ARTery Team is a group of volunteers from the HSL: Lori Fleming (Chair) and Amy Clark. Our goal is to promote the original artwork created by the patrons we serve.
