Impacts of the Canada Post strike on library services

(Updated Nov. 20, 2024)

Requesting physical items from different campus libraries

Requesting physical items to be delivered from some of our campuses is currently being affected. Contact us if you need something urgently and your desired campus is not listed for pick up.

Document Delivery:

The delivery of requested physical items through our Document Delivery service may be delayed or unavailable while Canada Post is on strike. While a requested book may not be immediately available, you may still have the option to identify a chapter and/or a short section of a book and they can be sent via your MUN email.  More information on Document Delivery.

Suggesting a purchase:

Given the current Canada Post Strike, Memorial University Libraries will make every effort possible to provide the requested item, likely in electronic form. More information on suggesting a purchase.

Please contact us if you have questions, comments or concerns

DistancePlus users:

We will continue to provide currently enrolled students and teaching faculty members with our DistancePlus delivery service during the strike.
