False narratives aren't new, but social media and digital platforms have enabled the rapid spread of harmful content that demand a more careful and critical evaluation of content being viewed and shared.
Join associate dean of libraries Louise McGillis on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 1 p.m. as she provides an overview of misinformation, including what it is and how it spreads. She will also offer suggestions on how to detect fake news and how to become part of the solution that limits its spread.
