Citing Music
Memorial University uses Chicago Style for music (17th ed.) and MLA for music (7th ed.) for citing music. APA for music Style (6th ed.) is common for citing in music education.
Need more help? When writing about music, there are many special issues to be aware of: capitalizing names of stylistic periods, identifying exact titles of musical works, naming notes and keys, and dealing with foreign terms are some of these. Richard J. Wingell addresses many of these issues in his books, available in the library, and he uses Chicago Style, too:
