Requesting an item
Request a book from any MUN Library branch and pick it up at your preferred branch. The average delivery time between MUN campuses (e.g. from St. John’s to Grenfell) is 5–7 business days. Some special format items may not be able to be delivered between campuses.
To request an item for pickup, sign into OneSearch and select Request to choose your preferred pickup location. Please allow up to 24 hours for your item to be ready for pick up, you will receive an email when your item is available.
Requesting a print journal article
If you’re located on a different MUN campus and you need an article from a print journal, you can request that an article be scanned and emailed to you. Request the journal article using a blank Document Delivery form. You’ll receive a PDF copy of the article in your MUN email.
Requesting an item from local storage
Some older and low-use items are kept in storage. Request an item from local storage in OneSearch and we'll retrieve it for you. We make delivery requests from storage on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Requests made on the weekend are processed on Monday. You'll receive an email when your item is ready for pickup. Please note: While offsite & partner storage items may be available for request we are unable to retrieve these items at this time. Requests will be cancelled.
Requesting an “on order” item
Items marked as "on order" have been ordered for the Library but have not yet been received. Unfortunately, we can't know exactly when it will arrive. If you are not in a hurry, you can request the item and you’ll receive an email when it arrives. If you need it sooner, you can also place a document delivery request and we'll get it from another library.
